The treatment is individualised and will depend on your condition, your response to the medication, your age, your response to treatment, your overall health, and other medications you take. It is important to take Strattera exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Take Strattera as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist on a full time basis (including a full medical check-up).

If Strattera is not working for you, your doctor may refer you to a specialist centre or hospital. It may take 3-6 months for the treatment to have an effect.
If you are taking Strattera for the first time, then continue to take it as prescribed. If you are not sure whether you should start taking Strattera, talk to your doctor.
It is important that you do not take Strattera if you are allergic to atomoxetine, or to any of the other ingredients in Strattera tablets.
Tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to atomoxetine, any of the ingredients in Strattera tablets or any other medicines, including those containing diclofenac (Carafen).
